Tobias Schwind is co-founder and managing partner of Fraunhofer Technology Transfer Fonds GmbH (FTTF).

FTTF is Germany´s first tech transfer fund supported by EIF and invests in Start-Ups using Fraunhofer Technology. Fraunhofer is Europe´s largest applied research organisation with 29.000 researcher and a yearly budget of EUR 2,8 billion. Tobias is responsible for investments especially in the renewable energy and sustainability sector and is board member in various companies.

Before joining FTTF Tobias was co-founder and managing director of Industrial Solar from 2008-2019. Industrial Solar is a leading solution provider for energy projects with references around the world. It was founded in the environment of the renown Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) to realize solar thermal projects based on its innovative Fresnel collector. In 2019 Industrial Solar got listed at Spotlight stock market and is now traded at NASDAQ First North under Clean Industry Solutions Holding AB. During that period, Tobias received various national and international awards.

Previously Tobias was senior investment manager at Fraunhofer Venture responsible for multiple start-ups in the field of renewable energy technologies. Tobias accompanied over 20 businesses, some from foundation to IPO and trade-sale. In addition he has several years of experience in consulting and in building up new production sites and in international business development. Tobias studied economics in Germany and holds an MBA from ESCP-Europe/Paris.
