Cédric Leoty joined Lazard in 2018 as a Managing Director in Financial Advisory.

 

Cédric has more than 20 years of experience in investment banking. He started his career in 1996 at the French Treasury before joininig Credit Suisse in 2000, then Citi in 2004, where he was promoted to Managing director in 2009. Cedric was promoted co-Head of French Investment Banking at Citi in 2015.

 

Cedric has been covering the mobility and energy sectors for many years with both M&A and IPO advisory focus.

 

He recently advised Faurecia on its spin-off out of Stellantis and the acquisition of Hella, Keolis on the disposal of its German operations and Michelin on its disposal of BookaTable to TripAdvisor. He also advised Haffner Energy, Hydrogen Refueling Solutions, Forsee Power as well as Afyren on their IPOs on Euronext. Other notable transactions include advisory of Zodiac on its sale to Safran, RTE on its capital opening to CDC, Areva on its restructuring including the sale of Framatome to EDF, Abertis on acquisition of 100% of Sanef, Faurecia on the sale of its Exteriors division to Plastic Omnium, Valeo on its acquisition of Spheros. Cedric also advised the French State Participation Agency in several instances, including the IPO of ADP, the sale of 10% in ADP to Vinci and Predica in 2013, as well as EDF’s 4bn€ rights issue in 2017.

 

He is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées (X-Ponts). He also holds a Master degree (DEA) from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS).
